BMWAQ Team 01 & Team 02 Participate in WSIF Workers Cup Cricket Tournament 2026

Promoting Unity, Teamwork and Well-being Through Sports

The Bangladesh Migrant Workers Association Qatar (BMWAQ) proudly participated in the WSIF Workers Cup Cricket Tournament 2026 with two teams, BMWAQ Team 01 and BMWAQ Team 02, representing the Bangladeshi migrant worker community in Qatar.

Both teams demonstrated outstanding enthusiasm, sportsmanship, teamwork and dedication throughout the tournament. Their participation provided an excellent opportunity for Bangladeshi migrant workers to showcase their cricketing talent, build friendships and strengthen unity among workers from different communities and nationalities.

One of the proudest achievements was BMWAQ Team 02 reaching the Semi-Final, delivering an impressive performance throughout the competition. Although the team unfortunately lost the semi-final match and could not progress to the final, reaching the last four was a remarkable achievement and a proud moment for our organisation and community.

BMWAQ sincerely congratulates all players, team managers, coaches, supporters and volunteers who contributed to this journey. We also extend our appreciation to the Workers' Support and Insurance Fund (WSIF) and the tournament organisers for providing this valuable platform for migrant workers.

Our Commitment to Migrant Workers

At Bangladesh Migrant Workers Association Qatar, we believe that sports are more than just competition. They are a powerful way to promote physical and mental well-being, friendship, leadership, social inclusion and community solidarity.

Through cricket, football, cultural activities, safety awareness programmes and community support initiatives, BMWAQ continues working to create opportunities for Bangladeshi migrant workers to stay connected, active, confident and united while living and working in Qatar.

We remain committed to supporting our community, promoting workers' welfare and creating positive opportunities for every Bangladeshi migrant worker.

Congratulations to BMWAQ Team 01 and Team 02. Your participation and dedication make us proud!
