Bangladesh Migrant Workers Association Qatar (BMWAQ) is a non-profit community organization dedicated to supporting, protecting, and empowering Bangladeshi migrant workers living and working in the State of Qatar.

Our mission is to improve the well-being of migrant workers through education, awareness, community service, emergency support, and strong cooperation with government authorities and partner organizations.

Since our establishment, BMWAQ has become a trusted platform where workers can seek guidance, build friendships, develop leadership skills, and participate in activities that promote safety, dignity, and unity.

Who We Are

Bangladesh Migrant Workers Association Qatar (BMWAQ) was established to create a strong platform for Bangladeshi migrant workers in Qatar. The organization works voluntarily to promote workers' welfare, rights awareness, health, safety, and community development.

BMWAQ believes that every migrant worker deserves respect, equal opportunity, and access to accurate information.

Our volunteers work tirelessly to organize awareness campaigns, educational workshops, sporting events, social activities, emergency support programs, and humanitarian initiatives.

OUR HISTORY

Bangladesh Migrant Workers Association Qatar (BMWAQ) was officially founded on 27 March 2023 by Sirajul Islam Howlader with the vision of creating a united platform to support and empower Bangladeshi migrant workers in Qatar.

Since its establishment, BMWAQ has grown into a trusted community organization, organizing workers' rights awareness programs, occupational safety and health training, humanitarian assistance, sports tournaments, cultural events, and community development initiatives.

BMWAQ works closely with the Ministry of Labour (State of Qatar), Workers' Support and Insurance Fund (WSIF), Building and Wood Workers' International (BWI), the National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) Qatar, the Embassy of Bangladesh in Doha, and other partner organizations to improve the well-being of migrant workers. 

Today, BMWAQ remains committed to its mission of Serving, Supporting, and Empowering Bangladeshi Migrant Workers across the State of Qatar.

BMWAQ regularly organizes programs including:

Heat Stress Awareness Campaigns

Educating workers about preventing heat stress, dehydration, and workplace safety during Qatar's summer season.

Workers' Rights Awareness

Providing information about Qatar Labour Law, employment rights, wages, accommodation, and grievance procedures.

Occupational Safety Training

Organizing workplace safety workshops with experts and partner organizations.

Community Development

Monthly meetings, leadership development, volunteer recruitment, and networking.

Sports & Recreation

Football tournaments and recreational events promoting friendship, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles.

Humanitarian Support

Food distribution, drinking water, emergency assistance, and relief activities.

Health Programs

Medical camps, blood donation drives, mental health awareness, and health education.

NEWS & EVENTS 

Heat Stress Awareness Campaign – BMWA Qatar Date: June 2026

BMWA Qatar successfully organized a Heat Stress Awareness Campaign at 2 labor camps.

More than 500 migrant workers benefited from awareness training on heat stress prevention, hydration, and workplace safety.

Gifts were distributed to participants to support the campaign.

The program was conducted with the support of company representatives and BMWA members.

Impact:✅ 500+ workers reached and benefited through awareness and safety education
